I only have a couple of goals for the upcoming year.
1. Work on getting my book published.
2. Work on getting healthy. I don't mean just taking off weight. I mean getting myself in a good place emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Goals tend to come in strong and go out quickly, but I am determined to make this work. I just thought I'd share this with you all!

What I Have Learned
I have learned so much over the last year. It has been a humbling experience. I would like to share with you what those experiences are. You never know, we may help each other.
1.I have learned not to judge my insides by someone's outsides.-We all put on a great face you just don't know someone's struggles.
2. I have learned to be humble. I have been humbled by my challenges and that has left me better off than I was before.
3. I have learned that chocolate does indeed solve a lot of problems!
4. I have learned that I can't be superwoman anymore. My cape and lasso are retired.
5. I have learned to do something for myself everyday. That time replenishes and restores me. Don't mess with my time.
6. I have learned that just because you want something it doesn't mean that it's the right time for you. Many lessons can be learned by the answer 'no', or 'not right now'.
7. I have learned that big blessings come in unexpected ways.
8. I have learned that helping is rewarding.
9. I have learned that I need to blog more!!!
10. I have learned that life is precious,
and I thank God for everyday that I get to participate in it!

Yes. I Mean It!
There are a couple of points that I want to make clear.
When I say that I am an author, I really mean that I am an author. I write, and I will be getting my books published. You can laugh all you want, but I will be getting my stuff published.
When I say that I have an incredible family, I really mean that I have an incredible family.
When I sayu that the bottom fell out of my world the day my dad died, I really mean it.
When I say that I miss him so much I can hardly breathe at times, I mean it.
When I tell you that my faith keeps me going, I really mean it.
When I tell you that my Father in Heaven holds me together, I really mean it.
When I tell you that the Savior makes all things possible, I really mean it.
When I tell you that the Holy Ghost comforts me, I really mean it.
When I tell you that Green Eggs and Ham is one of the best books ever written, I really mean it.
When I tell you that my two sons are amazing, I mean it.
When I tell you that I want to float in a pool of chocolate and caramel, I really mean it.
When I tell you that hope means a lot to me, I really mean it.
When I tell you that I will make my dreams come true, I REALLY MEAN IT!

Lots to Say

Well, once again, it has been too long since I have blogged! I have learned some things, done some stuff, and I'll tell you all about it!
I've learned that a lot of people that I thought were my friends aren't. I learned that if I had some posts on Facebook that were about some illnesses in my family or my depression, I would be either de-friended or have my status hidden. That hurt. I'm not sure how many real friends I actually have. Yeah that stung.
I have finished my book, I just have to complete the editing process. I'm both excited and nervous. I'm really hoping it does well. A very sweet friend is putting a website together for me. That is awesome! I am feeling like an expectant mother. I want my baby to be treated well. I am also tossing around the idea of trying to publish with an agent or try to go it on my own. I know that I want to publish traditionally first, and then do e-publishing second. Oy! So many decisions to make!
Much love and Hugs to those that have stood beside me through the good, bad, ugly, and pretty!! Please bring chocolate to see me through the publishing process?

Questions
Why do you always have to pee during the good part of a movie?
What's the stuff in hi-lighters that makes them hi-light?
Why do new books smell so good?
Why do libraries always stink?
Exactly what parts of the animal are used in the making of bologna?
Why does jelly go so perfectly with peanut butter?
Who was the first person to discover PB & J?
Who was the very first person to step in gum?
Why do little kids love to pick their noses in public?
Why does Wal-Mart have a greeter?
Why do people cover their cars with bumper stickers?
Who was the first mother to shout to their child as they entered a public restroom, "Make sure you cover the seat with toilet paper"?
Who invented erasers?
Why do you always have to find out that your shoes make that weird squeaking sound when your someplace other than home?
Why do dogs turn around a few times before they finally lie down?
Who invented cereal, and then decided that it was good for breakfast?
Why do people call Saturday and Sunday the weekend, when technically Sunday is the first day of the week?
Why does chocolate taste so dang good?
Just some random questions for you to ponder. It's kind of crazy to be in my head, huh?

A Glimpse Into My Scary Mind
Random Thought: I have rediscovered my love for Hole. Courtney Love is awesome. I love her vocals, and her style is great. I have to admit that I have some weird likes in music and just about everything else, but hey, it's the way I am. Random Thought: I happen to think that there was so much more to Marilyn Monroe than what Hollywood did to her. They made their money turning her into a vapid moron, but in reading some things she has had to say, there was so much more going on than what was seen on the surface. No, I don't think her death was a suicide, and Yes, I do think that the Kennedy family was involved. Random Thought: If I have to see another add for the Twilight movies, I will seriously puke. How can crappy acting bring in so much money? BTW-What the heck was with the Team Edward and Team Jacob crud? Hello! Read the books; the ending has already been decided. Random Thought: Have you ever noticed just how yummy chocolate and peanut butter are together. In candy or cereal form-YUMMAY!!! Random Thought-Spring is coming, and I hate bugs. Yuck! Random Thought-I hate it when my stacks of books are out of order. Random Thought-I have three huge book cases, and they are overflowing onto other flat surfaces, and I will never get rid of any of them. Random Thought-Oatmeal is yummy! Random Thought-I want to see Metallica in concert sooooo badly! Random Thought-I love the show Bones. So gross and soooo cool! Random Thought-I always trade silverware with Adam at a restaurant.

My Christmases as a Kid
I was looking through pics from my kidhood to put up on my Facebook wall, and I came across one where I had gotten a Barbie. Now, I am and will forever be a weird person. I will freely admit that I am not, nor have I ever been quirky. I am weird, and I accept it. When you are weird people aren't surprised when you do crazy things. This works to my advantage.
Now getting back to the whole Barbie thing. When I was little I used to love to chew on their feet. For some reason the feet were really flexible around the ankles, and I loved to chew on them. Strange, isn't it?
Another strange thing that I liked was to take a spoonful of my hot chocolate, and stick a piece of popcorn in it. Before you gag at the thought, think about it. Not only did you get the fun of watching it shrivel up from the cocoa, but you had a yummy chocolate piece of popcorn.
Now, for a piece of adult weirdness. I still sleep with a teddy bear. His name is Pudge. Adam gave him to me for Christmas when we were dating. I was 16, and this bear was and still is so adorable. He's big, fluffy, and cuddly. I have Adam on one side of me and Pudge on the other. Adam is fine with this. Okay, he is mildly jealous, but he IS the one that gave Pudge to me. I love my guy. He is an awesome hubby.
See? I am weird. Now I am going to go get some hot chocolate without popcorn.

Complete Randomness
I am back in the blogging world. Oh, I have blogged before! It's interesting and so amazing how we can put our thoughts out for the world to read. As I sit in my small living room with my family, listening to Evanescence, and eating chocolate, you are somewhere else in the world reading my thoughts. Pretty cool, huh?

I am a die-hard metal girl, although, like everyone else, I do have my guilty pleasures like Taylor Swift. I am hanging my head in shame...well at least it isn't Barry Manilow!
_
Writing is my passion. I am currently working on my first novel. Writing is a form of therapy for the writer. At least it is for me. I have noticed that it is almost as if I am standing there and saying, "Okay, here is my soul. Am I good enough for you?" Hopefully the answer will be, "Yes. You are awesome!" but you never know, right?
-
I love old movies! How can anyone not love Bette Davis? She completely rocked the film industry! Audrey Hepburn? Katherine Hepburn? Hello? Such awesomeness should not be allowed!
-
Anywho...that is just a quick snapshot of me. There will be much venting, randomness, and chocolate on this blog. Enjoy, share, and vent with me!
